TRACT 132: YOU CAN BE PERFECT

''Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect'' Matthew 5:48.

The decision to be a true follower of Christ is a decision to live a perfect life before God and perfect peace with all men. To be perfect as a Christian is to be morally and spiritually upright.

What does it mean to be spiritually upright? It means to possess the nine fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance - Galatians 5:22-23); to serve and walk with God in holiness.

On the other hand, to be morally upright means to exemplify godly lifestyle before men. A Christian who is morally upright will be good example to others in godly and modest dressing, in edifying utterances, in meekness and comportment, in outlook (devoid of harlotry Jezebel or gay's adornment), in actions and reactions, in cleanliness and personal hygiene.

A morally upright Christian does not sow to flesh but to the Spirit '' Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, whichcraft, hatted, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresis, Envying, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like.'' Galatian 5:19-21. '' For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting'' Galatians 6:8.

Dear reader! No one is too bad for Jesus to be made perfect. If it were impossible to be perfect, Christ would not have called everyone unto perfection. Perfection is only possible in Christ and not in any prophet. Perfect Christians will reap everlasting life in heaven while sinners and unbelievers will reap eternity in hell. Come to Christ in genuine repentance and for cleansing from all defilements now, and ask of him the Holy Spirit to help in all your weakness.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the call unto perfection. I believe that I can be morally and spiritually perfect in Jesus. I want to be a true follower of Jesus. Have mercy upon me, save me from all works of the flesh and immoral lifestyle. Grant me the grace to be morally and spiritually upright in Christ. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

TRACT 146: THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU "For with God nothing shall be impossible". Luke 1:37 You are unique and precious in the sight of God. God thinks of you and has special plan for you. His plan for you is to live a fulfilled life on earth and to reign with Him in Heaven. Zechariah and Elizabeth were examples (Luke 1).
