TRACT 153: YOUR BEST GIFT

"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him" - John 14:23.

People often give gifts to loved ones to show appreciation or celebrate special moments together. The three wise men rejoiced with exceeding gladness that Messiah King was born. To show appreciate, gifts were presented to Jesus. "And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and Worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh"-Matthew 2:11.

The world was lost in spiritual darkness, drowning in sin, with souls slipping away from God's presence. But in His boundless mercy, God sent Jesus to be the Light, rescuing humanity from eternal separation and the grip of second death - " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that Whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16.

If God loved you enough to send Jesus to save you from eternal death, what is the greatest gift you can give Jesus? Your heart! Jesus wants to make your heart a home for the Holy Spirit and His Word. He is knocking, wanting to come in. Will you open the door of your heart today?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for sending my Messiah into the world. Forgive me my sins and wash me in the blood of the Lamb. I am offering my heart to Jesus as my best gift. Come into my heart Lord Jesus to stay and grant me the grace to please God always at His word. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen

TRACT 146: THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU "For with God nothing shall be impossible". Luke 1:37 You are unique and precious in the sight of God. God thinks of you and has special plan for you. His plan for you is to live a fulfilled life on earth and to reign with Him in Heaven. Zechariah and Elizabeth were examples (Luke 1). Even though they are no longer on earth, the Bible still speaks of them. Their faithfulness to God, even in old age and having no child is an example of inspiration. TRACT 142: DO YOU LOVE GOD? "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also" 1John 4:20-21. A story was narrated by a teacher to his primary school pupils on how three ladies were told by their pastor that Jesus would be their guest in their places of abode on a certain day. Indeed, the three ladies prepared, sanitized, decorated their apartments and prepared delicious meal on the expectant day.
