TRACT 115: WHO SHALL ENTER HEAVEN?

"Not every one that saith into me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven" Matthew 7:21.

The doctrine of eternal security has become a subject of debate among many Christians and theologians. Many uphold the doctrine "once saved, always saved forever" while many who oppose it uphold the doctrine of conditional security. A so called man of God once told his congregants that the future sins of anyone who believe in Jesus are already attorned for and such an individual can never go to hell no matter any sin he commits after receiving salvation. What an error, free licence to evil, and a Broadway church that opens to hell!!! This is one among the false teachers, proud pastors and occultic prophets in the world today; who are diluting the word of God with heresis and preventing the souls of men from entering the kingdom of heaven. Jesus had already forewarned "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves" Matthew 7:15.

Back to the question, who shall enter heaven? It is he or she whose Lord and Saviour is Jesus; and who daily does the will of God. What does it mean to do the will of God? It means to live in obedience to every word of God and to abstain from all appearance of evil(1 Thessalonians 5:22). Once saved, there is need to grow in grace: grow in the word of God; in worship (fellowship and prayer); in well doing; and in watching over the souls of others (soul winning). Reverting to sin, self, suggestions from society, and Satan after been saved is falling from grace and trekking the path of hell.

Jesus had already paid the price of salvation and his promise of heaven to all who profess him as Lord is not of eternal security but of conditional security. Jesus never mixed words but plain and true when he said "Not every one that saith into me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven" Matthew 7:21. These were the words of Jesus himself and not of any apostle or disciple. Are you still in doubt? Remember Jesus said "For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven" Matthew 5:20.

Are you still in doubt? Remember Judas Iscariot! He started with the Lord, did discipleship class under Jesus, baptized in water, partook in holy communion, preached the gospel, cast out demons, abandoned all and followed Jesus; but fell from grace. He reverted to sin, self, suggestions from society and Satan; and ended in hell. Are you still in doubt? Remember the warning letters of Jesus from heaven to the churches in the book of Revelation two and three.

Dear reader, is Jesus truly the Lord of your life? Are you doing the will of God? Remember no sinner, unbeliever or backslider shall enter the kingdom of heaven. Kindly humble yourself before God at His word and surrender your life totally unto Jesus.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of Salvation through Jesus. I humble myself before you at your word and genuinely repent of all sins and doubt. Forgive me all my wrong doings and cleanse me in the precious blood of Jesus. Save me, sanctify me, baptize in the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to do your will always, in Jesus Name. Amen MORE GRACE TO CONTINUE IN THE NEW LIFE
