“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be unto this wicked generation” Matthew 12:43-45.
The all knowing Jesus in one of his sermons exposed how unclean spirits operate in the lives of unsaved souls. The unclean spirits are demonic spirits from Satan wandering the earth and seeking places of abode. They are usually comfortable when they have abode in the bodies of living souls and graven images. It is however, very difficult for them to have their abode in the bodies of saved, sanctified, and Holy Spirit filled believers. More so, anyone given to worldly adornments and artificial attachments destroys God's temple and gives straight invitation to the demons ''What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's'' 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
It is the will of God for all living souls to glorify Him in body and spirit and stop giving room to demons through sin. All fornicators, adulterers and adulteress, smokers, alcoholics, killers, thieves, liars, seducers are under demonic bondage. All fans of corrupt speeches, movies, music are under demonic bondage. All those who idolize their bodies with attachments, tattoo, rings and seductive wears are under demonic bondage. And all idolaters and unbeliever are under demonic bondage. The sad news is that Satan and his demons will drag their victims to hell after death.
The Good News is that God loves you and wants to set you free from the grip of demons. God has given all power in heaven and earth to Jesus and only Jesus has the power to set you free from sins and demonic oppression. God wants you to dispose all demonic properties in your possession and ask Jesus for forgiveness, and cleansing in his precious blood. Jesus is waiting for you now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and for opening my spiritual eyes. I am very sorry for destroying my body with sin and worldly adornment. Have mercy upon me and cleanse my body, soul and spirit in your precious blood. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit, and grant me the grace to glorify you in my body, soul and spirit in Jesus' Name. Amen
