TRACT 50: BEATITUDES OF HEAVENLY MINDED LIFE
Beatitudes are the categories of blessings for those who have made up their minds to become followers of Jesus till the end of their lives on earth “And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying.” Matthew 5:1-2
3. Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven: Those who realized their spiritual emptiness and desire God’s help through Jesus.
4. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted: Those who heard God’s word, convicted of their sins and are genuinely sorry for their sins.
5. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth: Those who are ready to obey God and make Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
6. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled: Those who are always ready to be in fellowship; hear God’s word and do His will.
7. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy: Those who are willing to forgive their past, present, and future offenders.
8. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God: Those whose imagination is holy and whose heart is conducive for the Holy Spirit to stay.
9. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God: Those who reconcile sinners to God by telling and showing them the love of Jesus.
10. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven: Those who are maltreated for doing God’s will.
“Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you” Matthew 5: 11-12.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and comforting words of blessedness. I have made up my mind to follow Jesus and to do your will. I am very sorry for all my sins. Have mercy upon me Lord Jesus. Save me, purify my heart and baptize me in the Holy Spirit. Make me a peace maker and grant me the grace to live the heavenly minded life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
