TRACT 28: A NEW MAN?

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Anyone born into this world possesses an adamic or sinful nature, inherited from the old man. Adamic nature stemmed out from Adam and Eve after they corrupted themselves with the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. A person born with adamic nature have natural tendency to imagine evil thought in his/her heart and do evil. No amount of moral obligation or religious cleansing can remove this nature except through Jesus. When Jesus is invited; he cleanses one’s heart in his precious blood, fills it with the Holy Spirit to bear the fruit of the Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” Galatians 5:22 & 23

> It is the will of God that all (men, women, boys, girls and children) be in Christ and become a new man. To become a new man is to have the likeness of Christ, and His word with the Holy Spirit living in one’s heart. To be in Christ means to crucify self in Christ and living by every bit of His word. Jesus lived holily while on earth because he was in God and lived by every bit of the word of God. If Jesus could live holily while on earth; it is very possible also for any man in Christ to live holily in this polluted world.

God is not happy with sinners who were deceived to believe that all are sinners and it is not possible for anyone not to sin. God is not happy with unbelievers who make no attempt in being in Christ. God is not happy with backslidden Christians who are grieving the Holy Spirit by evil imaginations and practices. He is not happy with them for hardening their conscience. The sad news is that anyone not in Christ will not make heaven but hell.

The Good News is that God loves you. He wants you to surrender your life to Christ. Jesus wants to cleanse your heart from sinful nature and fill in with the Holy Spirit of God. He wants to make you a new man and write your name in the book of life. He is waiting for you now.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your word again unto me. Forgive me all my sins and come into my heart Lord Jesus and stay. Save me, sanctify me baptize me in the Holy Ghost and grants me the daily grace to bear the nine fragrance fruit of the Spirit in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
