TRACT 26: HE PROVED IT
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25 & 26
All hope was lost for Martha and Mary Magdalene - beloved followers of Jesus Christ, because their brother was dead for four days. They had earlier sent for Jesus to come and healed his beloved friend Lazarus but Jesus delayed. On his arrival, they told Jesus that their brother would not have died had it be he came on time. Jesus told Martha that Lazarus will rise again but Martha only believed that would happen on the resurrection day. Jesus raised dead Lazarus. He also proved that he is the resurrection. Jesus was crucified on the cross of Calvary, died, buried and resurrected the third day. “In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the Sepulchre. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay” Matthew 28:1, 5 & 6.
It is the will of God that all (men, women, boys, girls and children) believe in the sinless Jesus. His birth was unique as he had no earthly father but Heavenly Father. Jesus was sent by God to save the world from sin, sickness, Satan, and to deliver humanity from the power of second death. He was crucified, died on the cross of Calvary and buried. The bodies of the dead saints felt his presence in the grave and they arose. They came out of the grave after his resurrection, went into holy city and appeared unto many. Jesus appeared first to Mary Magdalene and other women after his resurrection, then to two of his followers on their way to Emmaus, and finally to his disciples. He was seen of many forty days after his resurrection, speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God before finally received up into heaven. He is now seated on the right hand side of God interceding for the world.
God is not happy with unbelievers who are denying the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. He is not happy with backslidden Christians who are unappreciative of the excruciating pains and death of Christ on the cross of Calvary but indulging in ungodly lifestyles, worldly merriments and false worship. God is not happy with sinners who are living after the works of the flesh (Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, and reveling, smoking, stealing, lying and corrupt practices). The sad news is that anyone who denies Christ and does not believe his words will not partake in the first resurrection during rapture but end up eternal fire.
The Good News is that God loves you. He wants you to believe in His only begotten Son. He wants you to repent from your sins, unbelief and backslidden state; and surrender your life totally to Jesus. Jesus has the power to; cleanse you from sin, heal you from sickness, set you free from satanic oppression and deliver you from the power of second death. He is waiting for you now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for you love. I believed Jesus died on the cross of Cavalry and resurrected to save me from sin, sickness, Satan and the power of second death. Forgive me all my sins and unbelief. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and make me your faithful follower in Jesus’ Name. Amen
