"Enter ye at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it" Matthew 7:13 & 14.
The field is wide, but the goal post is small. The crowd are the spectators and supporters, present to cheer their favorite team to score the winning goal before stoppage time. Every player from each team enters the field of play with one goal — to get the ball into the net, while the supporters cheer for their own and the opposers eager to see the opponent defeated on the field of play.
Just like players on the field of play. And there is surely a stoppage time for each of us to leave this earth for eternity. Heaven — God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with the Angels — are our supporters. They cheer us on and call out: “Follow the narrow way of holiness, pursue the ultimate goal and be celebrated in heaven. Satan and his demons are our opposers. They tackle, distract, and try to make us miss the ultimate goal of pushing forth the narrow way that leads straight into heaven.
The altimate goal for existing on earth is pleasing God and make heaven. To get this goal, we must:
✓Defend against sin.
✓Attack with prayer.
✓Strike with the Word of God.
Before time runs out, make sure you strive for this goal.
✓Admit you are a sinner and need God.
✓Believe that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again.
✓Confess and Jesus as Lord and Savior and live a surrendered life unto him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for drawing my attention to the ultimate goal in life. I confess I am a sinner and seek your forgiveness. Come into my heart Lord Jesus. Help me to live holy and secure the ultimate goal — Heaven. in Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
