"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law" - Galatians 5:23-23.
The nine fruits of the Spirit are essential virtues that the Holy Spirit develops within a believer’s life who has been saved and sanctified. These attributes mirror God’s very character and are expressed through a person’s conduct and relationships (relationship with God and mankind)
✓LOVE: Is it possible to seek the best for others regardless of their behaviour, and to put God first in all things?
✓JOY: Is it possible to lift others up through the inner joy of salvation that is visible on one’s face and countenance?
✓PEACE: Is it possible to follow peace with all men, and to maintain holy walk with God?
✓LONG-SUFFERING: Is it possible to endure all offences of men without having deep hatred and anger?
✓GENTLENESS: Is it possible to have considerate attitude free of arrogance?
✓GOODNESS: Is it possible to do good to all men irrespective of religion or tribal affiliation?
✓FAITH: Is it possible to stand on the true Word of God without compromising?
✓ MEEKNESS: Is it possible to be humble before God and treat others with honour and respect?
✓TEMPERANCE: Is it possible to overcome all fleshly temptations?
With God, all things are possible. It is possible to have the nine fruit of the Spirit if you can get started with the ABC of salvation.
A - Acknowledge: Acknowledge your wrongdoing and seek forgiveness.
B - Believe: Believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again as the atonement for your sins.
C - Confess: Confess Jesus to be the Saviour and Lord of your life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your call to be holy. I acknowledge my wrongdoing and ask for forgiveness. I believe you chose Jesus to save me and I confess him as my Lord and Savior. Save me, sanctified me and grant me the grace to produce the fruit of the Spirit daily. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
