TRACT 127: HOLY BIBLE, HOLINESS & HEAVEN

'' Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord'' Hebrew 12:14.

The Holy Bible is the most selling book in the world. It is the written Word inspired by the Holy Spirit. It contains the Old Testament (Law and Prophets) and the New Testament (Words of Christ and His Disciples). What the Law and Prophets could not give (Salvation, Sanctification and Holy Spirit baptism) in the Old Testament, Jesus brought and gave in the New Testament. The Law and Prophets were completed in Jesus.

Jesus remains the only direct Word of God and the acknowledged Son of God that all who desire to live peacefully with all men and holily must obey and follow to see God in heaven. God Almighty Himself affirmed this on the mount of Transfiguration when long lived Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus in the presence of his three disciples, Peter, James and John. Peter Suggested to Jesus that three tabernacles be made, one for him (Jesus), one for Moses (Law), and one for Elijah (Prophet's representative) ''While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him'' Matthew 17:5.

What are the words of Christ that everyone must hear and obey to please God of heaven? The words of Christ are centered on Repentance and Holiness. Repentance is the turning away from sin, and it is the first step to salvation. Jesus first ministerial statements in the Holy Bible is, '' ....Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand'' Matthew 4:17. Salvation is found only in Jesus, by believing and accepting him as Lord and Saviour.

Jesus said '' Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God'' Mathew 5:8. After salvation is the purity (Holiness) of heart. The heart is the sit of either pure or evil imaginations. The heart is made holy by the Word of God '' Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee '' Psalm 119:11.

Dear reader, without holiness within (in heart) and without (holy and peaceful relationship with other people), no one will see God in heaven after pilgrim journey on earth. Are you purified in heart by the Holy Word of God?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of Holy Bible and salvation through your Son Jesus. I desire to walk holily with you and peacefully with all men. Save me from all defilement and fill my heart with your Word and good imaginations. Grant me the grace to live holily on earth till I meet with you in heaven. In Jesus' Name. I pray. Amen.
