TRACT 124: EMMANUEL - GOD WITH US

''Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us'' Matthew 1:23.

December 25th is the day most Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus. The word Christmas originated from the Mass of Christ, a mass service which is called communion. Though, it is not recorded in the Bible that Jesus was born on the day; the day is dedicated to Christ. What then is the essence of Christmas? The song's lyrics of a little Asian boy clearly summarized the essence of Christmas:

Christmas time is all about you and God staying together forever (2x). Santa Clus has nothing to do with Christmas, Christmas is not about Christmas tree, Christmas is not about toys, Christmas is not about new clothes or parties. So, friends, Christmas is all about Jesus, Jesus was born for you and me, Ask Jesus to be your friend, And give him a place in your heart, He will be your God and your Saviour.

Jesus came into the world, to bring light in the darkness, Jesus came into the world, to bind the broken heart, Jesus came into the world, to destroy the devils and his works, Jesus came into the world, to seek and save the lost, He is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and The Prince of Peace.

Christmas is all about having Jesus in the heart forever, Christmas is all about offering our lives as sacrifice to Jesus, Christmas is all about having Jesus in our hearts.

Of a truth, God is with us on earth and the essence of Jesus birth is to save world from sins and Satan. '' And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins'' Matthew 1:21. It is only those who are ready to repent of sins and believe on Him Jesus that Jesus can save their souls from going to hell. Christmas season is a season of sober reflection for sinners, backsliders and unbelievers; a season for saints to appreciate God for sending His loving and compassionate Son into the world; and a season for all saints to demonstrate the agape love of Jesus to other Christians, sinners and unbelievers.

Prayer: Heaven Father, thank you for coming down from heaven to save me from sins and Satan. I believe that Jesus is the Saviour of the world. I am ready to surrender my life completely to Jesus. Save me, sanctify my, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to live my life for your glory. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
