''Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light’’. Matthew 11:28-30.
The greatest adversary of humanity is no other personality than the devil. His mission on earth is to laden humanity with loads that hinder from walking and running the heavenly race. These tactically prepared loads are of three categories. They are load of sins, load of religions (self righteousness and unbelief) and load of trials.
The composite in the load of sins includes; pride, self, greed , anger, lies, backbiting, smoking, fornication, adultery, envy, stealing, drunkenness, gluttony, wickedness, sensual wears, seductive make up, lust, addiction, immoral videos and pictures, corrupt utterances, worldly music and immoralities. Whosoever that has any of these loads is a sinner and heavy laden.
The markers to look for in those that carried the load of religions are: they do not acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Saviour in their religions; they kneel before graven images (idols or crucifix or sculpture of holy mothers) during prayers; they pray in the names of their prophets or deity gods; they boast about their religious performance such as alms giving, fasting, pilgrimage to holy cities, and number of daily prayers; they compare themselves with others and justify themselves; they believe in the shedding of animal's blood and washing in water for the remission of sins; they esteem their church doctrines more than the Bible doctrine and so become “Penterascal” in lifestyle and worship; they render eye services in God's santuary; they believe that marrying more than one wife or husband is not a sin; they visit spiritual and occultist houses for prophesies, visions and spiritual fortification. Whosoever indulges in the above is a false worshipper, heavy laden and only labour to worship God in vain.
Dear standing believer in Christ, the devil knows pretty well that it will be so difficult to laden you with the load of sin. And so therefore, sets before you load of trials and temptations to weaken you and make you backslide. These loads of trials may be inform of hardship, persecution, mockery, worry, anxiety, depression, delay, denial, disappointment, depression, sickness and discouragement. Beloved, hold your peace and call on Jesus for help. Don't be tempted to forsake Jesus. Jesus knows about all that you are passing through. Put your trust in the might of Jesus. You are not alone.
The Good News for all (sinners, religious devotees, and suffering saints) is that Jesus is calling and wants to lighten everyone's load. Jesus wants you sinner to repent of all sins and ask him to save your soul. Jesus wants you religious devotees to repent of false worship and learn from him in meekness and lowliness of heart. To the suffering saint, Jesus has the power to help you overcome the trials of life and give rest to your soul. God's grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and call to seek rest in Jesus. I repent of all my sins and false worship. Have mercy upon me and take off the loads of sin and self from me. Deliver me from all afflictions of the devil. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to successfully run the heavenly race, in Jesus' Name. Amen
