TRACT 103: THE GREATEST JOY

''Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice'' Philippians 4:4

Life generally is full of ups and downs; good and bad, disappointment and appointment, love and hate, sorrow and happiness, fortune and misfortune, labour and rest, health and health challenge, lack and abundance, persecution and succor. Twists and turns happened to all; but there is this greatest joy that true believers in Christ have daily, keeping them sailing amidst the storms and negative sides of life. It is the heavenly Joy of Salvation.

The joy of salvation creates peace, faith and hope of making Heaven in their hearts; enables them relate with others in agape love, and energizes them to love God with the whole of their hearts, souls and minds. In the parable of the lost coin, the woman did not have joy until she found her missing piece. No one can have the heavenly joy without first finding the missing salvation which is in Christ Jesus ''..Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth'' Luke 15: 9-10.

During ups and downs, there is sufficient GRACE (God's Riches At Christ Expense). Standing true believers in Christ think of the goodness of Jesus and all he has done for them; how he saved, forgave their sins and brought them from darkness into His marvelous light. They rejoice for suffering and being persecuted for righteousness sake. The joy of salvation steers up their confidence in God for speedily divine intervention. And they rejoice in the hope of spending eternity with God in Heaven. Sinners, unbelievers and backsliders do not have this heavenly joy. Though they may claim to have earthly joy, their joy is temporal and does not in any way cause joy before the angels of God in heaven. Heavens do not rejoice in iniquities of sinners and unbelief of called religious worshippers. A life without salvation in Christ is a meaningless life whose eternal destination is hell fire.

The Good News is that salvation is free, still available for every living soul on earth and God wants you personally to have this heavenly joy. You can find and possess this heavenly Joy by taking the following steps:

A) Acknowledge that you are a sinner.
B) Believe that Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to save you from sin, self, sickness, sorrow and Satan.
C) Confess your sins to Jesus and ask for cleansing in his precious blood.
D) Dedicate your life to Jesus by making him your Lord and Saviour.
E) Evangelizing others by telling them about the love of Jesus.
F) Fellowshipping with God daily through prayers, Bible study and worship.
G) Going to church regularly.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the free gift of salvation. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, I believe in the attorney blood of Jesus and I confess my sins before you (mention them). O God, save me from sin, self, sorrow, sickness and Satan; sanctify my heart by the blood of Jesus, and baptize me in the Holy Spirit. Grant me the grace to rejoice always in the Lord, and to daily beautify myself with the nine fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance) in Jesus' Name. Amen
