''For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord'' 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
There are different time zones in places of the world. As some are rising from bed to work; some are going to bed. Some may be in the morning, some afternoon while others in the night time. Now, imagine if rapture (catching away of the saints to meet Jesus in the air) should take place; some saints would be caught while asleep, some at their duty posts, some while eating, some while on transit. The remaining sinners in the world would be left in shock at the sudden event while backslidden Christians would desire the second flight but there would not. This call for sinners, unbelievers and backslidden Christians to repent and watch for the coming of Jesus ''Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come..Therefore be ye also ready for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh '' Matthew 24:42&44.
Of course, No second flight. Immediately after rapture, the Antichrist will take control of the whole for a period of seven years. No one would be able to buy or sell without the mark of 666, which is the number of man the Antichrist would make compulsory for all to have. Anyone who receives the mark is doomed forever for burning in eternal lake of fire. And those would receive the mark will pay with their lives. While these are going on, saints receive rewards in heaven.
After Christ's second coming and his millennial reign on earth with only saints; there would be Great White Throne judgment of the living and dead sinners both small and great. A song writer wrote: I dreamed that the great judgment morning, had downed and the trumpet had blown. I dreamed that nations had gathered to judgment before the white throne. From the throne came a bright shining angel. And stood on the land and the sea. And swore, with his hands raised to heaven, that time was no longer to be...And O, what a weeping and wailing, as the lost, were told of their fate. They cried for the rocks and the mountain, they prayed, but their prayer was too late. What would be your own fate in eternity?
The Good News is that you are alive and God loves you. He wants you to repent of evil ways and surrender your life to Jesus so as to join in the heavenly flight. He does not want you to wait till your prayers become too late. Jesus is waiting for you now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and call unto salvation. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Have mercy upon me and set me free from the captivity of sin. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to watch always for the rapture, in Jesus' Name. Amen
