TRACT 92: THE SAVIOUR OR SATAN?

''The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly'' John 10:10.

God is the Supernatural Being. The other supernal beings are Jesus and Satan; they were both with God in heaven. Satan, the Lucifer thought to dethrone and exalt himself above God. He connived with one third of the angels in heaven to dethrone God. The Almighty God aborted his plan and cast him and the rebellious angels out of heaven into the earth. Satan soon became jealous of the like creature of God (mankind). He knew that his eternal destination after earth is lake of fire; and does not want to go there alone but take many souls along with him. He succeeded and deceived the first man and woman to eat from the forbidden fruit, then passed his imparted nature to mankind. God so loved the world, that he send his humble and obedience Son, Jesus into the world to save mankind from following Satan to hell. The Good Shepherd gave his life and made his precious blood available for whosoever is willingly to forsake sin and Satan, and follow him back to God in heaven ''I am the Good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep'' John 10:11.

Who are you following on earth to eternity beyond, the Saviour or Satan? You cannot follow both at the same time and you cannot stand aloof. You are either a follower of one or non follower of the other. Satan is a deceiver and specializes in deceiving men into sin. He is also a destroyer, who specializes in killing sinners and destroying their souls in hell. But Jesus is the merciful Saviour, the receiver of sinners; who specializes in making sinners saint. He is the giver of life to all blood washed saints.

The sinners are those deceived by Satan into ungodly enjoyments of evil works of the flesh. Sinners, if they do not repent from following Satan and his evil works, will shockingly find their souls in hell. The unbelievers, who are followers of deities and prophets other than the Saviour Jesus will shockingly find their souls in hell. The backslidden Christians, who are deceived by Satan to love the world more than God will also shocking find their souls in hell. The sad truth is that hell is a place of no return.

The Good News is that God loves you and has been preserving your life up till this very moment. He knows that if your die in sin, no amount of prayers can bring your soul out of hell. He is calling on you today to repent of sins and follow Jesus.

Prayer: Heavenly I thank you for your love and for sparing my life up till this moment. Have mercy upon me and cleanse me in the precious blood of Jesus. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit, and grant me the enable grace to follow you till the end, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
