“Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire” Matthew 18:8-9.
We sometimes see warning signs and posts on products (cigarettes, hard drugs, alcoholic drinks and hazardous chemicals) or stationed in dangerous areas (petroleum pipelines, high tension wires/voltage transformer sites, mining sites and military zones) cautioning people to keep off because of potential characteristic dangers . Despite these warnings, some people with hardened hearts still trespass, and go after these products. We have heard in the news how petroleum vandals were burnt into ashes, how transformer and cables vandals were electrocuted, and how some have destroyed their bodies with the usage of dangerous chemical products. There is one most dangerous zone in the world and it is sin zone. This zone is evil and leads straight to hell. God has not left us in obscurity but given us a stern warning “Abstain from all appearance of evil” 1 Thessalonians 5:22.
God desires everyone to keep off from sin zone and guide his/her hearts against all appearance of evil. Imagination of evil thought in heart is visiting sin zone. Watching corrupt movies, scenes and pictures is visiting sin zone. Listening to worldly music and corrupt speeches is visiting sin zone. Ungodly closeness with opposite gender is touching sin zone. Patronizing drinking joints, cigarettes and hard drugs joints is patronizing death zone. Putting on seductive wears and sensual make up is playing with fire. Visiting witch doctors, spiritual men and women to foretell one’s future is visiting death zone.
What a pity! Many dead sinners were warned of sin zone during their life time but turned deaf ears and are now burning in hell. What a pity! Many unbelievers were warned to opt out of false religion but remained adamant and opened their eyes in hell. So unfortunate that many backsliders frustrated the grace of God, became worldly and end their souls in hell. The sad news is that many sinners, unbelievers and careless believers will remain adamant in still zone and end their souls in hell.
The Good News is that God loves you and wants you to keep off from sin zone. He has been sparing your life till the very moment for you to repent and save your soul from hell. He wants you to obey His warning and make Jesus you Lord and Saviour. Jesus is waiting for you now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and warning. Forgive me all my sins and cleanse me in the attorney blood of Jesus. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to flee sin zone daily in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
