“And from days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force’’ Matthew 11:12.
The world is a battle field between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light as both contend for the souls of men. Satan and his demonic agents are the principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places that specialize in deceiving and capturing humanity with the allure of sin and worldliness. Jesus came from the kingdom of light to fortify humanity with the complete armour of God against Satan and his agents. It is now left for everyone to decide whether to put it on or not “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” Ephesians 6:13-18.
The complete armour of God consists of the helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shield of faith, sword of the Spirit, shoes of the gospel of peace, and in-built praying power in the mouth. The helmet of salvation symbolizes confidence in God that only Jesus saves from sin, sickness, self, suffering and Satan. The breastplate of righteousness guards the heart from impure and evil thought. The belt of truth symbolizes the word of God- (Jesus) on which believers firmly attached to. The shield of faith guards against all fiery darts (sickness, oppression, spiritual lukewarmness, afflictions and sufferings) of Satan. The sword of the Spirit is the Bible which is an effective weapon for overcoming the devil and its temptations. The shoes of the gospel of peace are meant for believers’ daily exercise of reaching others with the message of Good News. And a praying believer is a threat to the kingdom of darkness.
Right from the days of John the Baptist and the manifestation of Jesus as the light of the world; the kingdom of heaven has been suffering violence as Satan is becoming fiercer in preventing souls from entering Heaven. And it is only true believers in Christ with the complete armour of God possess the power to withstand him and take the kingdom of Heaven by force. God’s will for all (men, women, boys, girls and children) is to get complete armour freely provided by Christ for protection against Satan and his agents. But the sad news is that sinners, unbelievers and backsliders will consider this complete armour as nonsense and will end up their souls in hell.
The Good News is that God loves you and still have your own special complete armour kept intact in Christ. He wants you to have it and fully protect yourself from the kingdom of darkness. He wants you to fully repent from all sins and humbly come to Jesus for forgiveness. Jesus has the power to forgive all sins and make you beloved of God. He is waiting for you now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and free gift of armour suit. I humbly repent from sin, unbelief and backslidden state of mind. Have mercy upon me and wash me clean in your precious blood. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to put on complete armour of God always in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
