“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” 1 Peter 5:7
There is someone who was ever in heaven; on earth and presently in heaven that cares for your body, soul and spirit. He volunteered and descended from heaven to earth to save you from sin, sickness, self, Satan, second death, and to secure your soul for heaven. Before the commencement of his mission; he embarked on forty days and forty nights prayer and fasting just because of you. Satan, your greatest enemy tempted him on three occasions with food, riches and magical power to prevent him from saving you; but he sternly rejected his offers and rebuked him with the word of God. God was proud of him and gave him power to forgive all sins, bless, perform miracles, heal and deliver from demonic oppressions. He finished his mission on earth by going the way of the cross, died and resurrected to redeem your soul from death. He is now in heaven awaiting your soul to possess the beautiful mansion he has prepared for you. The person is no other friend than Caring Jesus “And there are so many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written everyone, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen” John 21:25.
Does Jesus really care for your body, soul and spirit? Of course, he cares for you as he had cared for others and still caring for all. Evidences abound in the Bible and in the present. On two different occasions, Jesus fed multitudes. He miraculously fed five thousand men besides women and children with five loaves of bread and two fishes; fed four thousand men besides women and children with seven loaves of bread and a few fishes. He miraculously turned water into wine at a wedding feast where he was as invited guest. Jesus caused the fishermen who fished all night and caught nothing to catch so many fishes. He miraculously provided money for Peter out of the fish’s mouth to pay tax. On several occasions, Jesus cast out evil spirits from demonic possessed people, healed the sick; repaired the bodies of handicapped people and raised the dead. Jesus taught how to live holily with God and men, and how to pray and worship God. He also baptized with the Holy Spirit.
The greatest miracle of all miracles is the miracle of salvation. Riches will pass away, health will fail one day, and vanity of vanities is everything on earth. But only salvation, which is the saving of the soul, will last till eternity. One of the crucified thieves beside Jesus only received one miracle from Jesus and the miracle was salvation. He became the first convert of Calvary and first soul to enter paradise with Jesus. His humble disposition and acceptance of Jesus as his Saviour at the dying minutes qualified him for the miracle of Salvation and gift of eternal life. It was so saddened that the other thief did not ask Jesus for this miracle of salvation but transited into hell fire.
The Good News is that you are alive and have opportunity to look up to Jesus who has power to save from sin, sickness, self, Satan and second death. God wants you to humble yourself like the humble thief. He wants you to turn away totally from sin and ask Jesus for cleansing in his precious blood. Jesus is waiting for you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and care. I am ready to forsake all my sins and make you my Lord and Saviour. Have mercy upon me and cleanse me in your precious blood. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to cast all my care upon you in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
