TRACT 59: TOMORROW MAY BE TOO LATE

“And as it appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” Hebrews 9:27-28

Have you ever for once lost in deep thought on what might actually lead to your final departure on earth: sickness, accident or death at sleep? Frightening still, have you ever considered where you would forever spend eternity: Heaven or Hell? Of a truth, everyone on earth has a short life to live and shall surely die one day. Everyone will stand before the judgment to give account of everything done on earth whether good or bad. It is only those who died in Christ with their salvation intact that will spend eternity in Heaven while those who neglect so great salvation will spend eternity in Hell “How Shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him” Hebrews 2:3.

God desires everyone to have sober reflection on where eternity will be spent. Hell fire is not a place where anybody would wish his/her greatest enemy. It is the place of everlasting torment prepared for Satan, demons and children of disobedience. Hell is a place of no return where sinners who rejected Christ on earth, pray for Jesus’ mercy but no answer to their prayers. It is a place where lost souls thirst for water and hunger for food but no provision. It is the place where souls are completely naked; and subjected to the scorch of heat and terrible odour. God desires sinners; backsliders and unbelievers to take a deep thought on their soul.

It will be so terrible for sinners on the Day of Judgment if they die without repenting from sins. It will be so terrible for unbelievers on the Day of Judgment if they die without accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. It will be so terrible for backsliders living in disobedience on the Day of Judgment if they fail to repent and live daily by the word of God. The sad news is that sinners, backsliders and unbelievers will open their eyes in Hell after their short life on earth.

The Good News is that God loves you and wants you to spend eternity in Heaven. You are not too bad for Him to save. He is ever ready to forgive all your sins and make you His child. He wants you to repent from sin and surrender your life to Jesus toady. Jesus is waiting for you now. Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your word and call to sober reflection. I thank you that I am alive to make right my ways. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Have mercy upon me and cleanse me in your precious blood. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to live daily with eternity in view in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

TRACT 146: THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU "For with God nothing shall be impossible". Luke 1:37 You are unique and precious in the sight of God. God thinks of you and has special plan for you. His plan for you is to live a fulfilled life on earth and to reign with Him in Heaven. Zechariah and Elizabeth were examples (Luke 1).
