TRACT 53: REMEMBER JUDAS ISCARIOT?

“Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out” Acts 1:16-18.

Once saved, saved forever” says the false doctrine of eternal security. Bearing a Christian name, being born into a Christian family or belonging to a particular church does not guarantee one is saved. One is saved only by being genuinely born again. Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve closed friends and followers of Jesus; in charge of money bag but was a thief in secret. He had opportunities to repent after several messages from Christ, but revealed his true self by selling Jesus for thirty pieces of silver to those seeking his life. He sinned willfully against Jesus and instead of repenting and asking for forgiveness upon realizing his sin, he hanged himself on the tree and lost forever in hell “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins” Hebrews 10:26.

It is the will of God that all (men, women, boys, girls and children) come to genuine repentance and become genuinely saved. Genuine repentance is the total turning away from sin unto God, and to be genuinely saved is to receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour. It is not every one that professes to be follower of Christ is saved, but one that hears the word of God and put it into practice. Salvation is free but not cheap. God wants everyone to work out his/her salvation by abstaining from sin, trembling and living by every bit of His word. God is not pleased with self professed Christians who indulge in secret sins. God is not pleased with unbelievers who deny Jesus as the begotten Son of God and Saviour of the whole world. God is not pleased with sinners who make no effort to come to genuine repentance and embrace the free gifts of salvation, sanctification and Holy Spirit. The sad news is that fake Christians, unbelievers and sinners, if not come to repentance will end up their souls in hell.

The Good News is that God loves you and He is ever ready to save you. He wants you to repent from unbelief, secret and open sins, and humbly surrender your life totally to Jesus as Lord and Saviour. God does not want you to perish like Judas Iscariot. Jesus is waiting for you now.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for you love and word. I repent from all my sins and unbelief. Have mercy upon me and forgive me my sins. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and help me not to lose my salvation in Jesus’ Name. Amen. MORE GRACE TO CONTINUE IN NEW LIFE

TRACT 146: THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU "For with God nothing shall be impossible". Luke 1:37 You are unique and precious in the sight of God. God thinks of you and has special plan for you. His plan for you is to live a fulfilled life on earth and to reign with Him in Heaven. Zechariah and Elizabeth were examples (Luke 1).
