“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith” Romans 1:16-17.

When I was a priest, I preached once in my parish that Jesus Christ is not God. For me, I believed God never got married, so no son for God. So, I preached that Jesus is not God. Then somebody asked me, “Who is Jesus from the crowd?” I was preaching He is not God, but the question was, “Who is he? To know who is He, I read the entire book of my religion once again. Then I found in my religion book that the name of the prophet whom I followed was mentioned only in four(4) places, but the name of Jesus, I found in twenty five (5) places.
There itself, I was a little confused. Why does my religion book give more preference to Jesus? And the second thing: I could not see any woman’s name in my religion book; not the prophet’s mother’s name, or wife’s name or children’s name, no. In my religion book, there is only one woman’s name I found. Miriam: the mother of Jesus. No other woman’s name. And in my religion book, the name of one Chapter is “Family of Miriam” and other Chapter is “Miriam”. So, I was very curious to know “Why does my religion book say all these things?”. The Chapter says that Miriam never commit any sin, she was a virgin.
And about Jesus, my religion book makes mention of ten things about Jesus. The first one says Jesus is Word of God. The second thing, Jesus is Spirit of God. And the third is Jesus is Christ. So, my religion book gives the name of Jesus “Word of God, Sprit of God and Jesus Christ”. And my religion book says that Jesus spoke when he was very small, like two (2) days old, after his birth. My religion says Jesus created a life bird with mud. He took some mud, formed a bird; when He breathed into it, it became a live bird. So I think that he can give life. And then my religion book says that Jesus cured a man born blind and a man with leprosy, etc. Curiously, my religion book says that Jesus gave life to dead people; Jesus went to Heaven, He is still alive and He will come again.
When I see all these things in my religion book, and what it says about my prophet. You know according to my religion book, the prophet whom I followed is not the Word of God, not the Spirit of God, never spoke when he was two (2) days old, never created any bird with mud. Never cured any sick people, never raised the dead people, he himself died, and according to my religion he is not alive and he will not come back. So, there is a lot of difference between these two prophets. I did not call Jesus God, you know. My idea was “He is a prophet.
So one day, I went to my teacher, the one who taught me ten (10) years in the religion college; and I asked him, Teacher, how did God create the universe?” Then, he said “God created the universe through the word”. THROUGH THE WORD. Then my question; “Word” is Creator or creation? He must clear it whether the word of God is Creator or creation. My religion book says, “Jesus is the Word of God”. If my teacher says that the Word of God is Creator, which means Jesus is Creator, then our religion members must become Christians. Suppose if he says the Word is creation, he will be trapped. You know why? He said everything is created through the Word. Suppose if he said the Word is creation, then how did God create the Word? So he cannot say that the Word is Creator, cannot say the Word is creation. So he was quite angry, he pushed me out of his room and said, “Word is not the Creator nor the creation, you get out of here, “he said”.
Why don’t all my religion people convert to Christianity? They try to prove….they say the Word is neither the Creator nor the creation, so not God. So I told my teacher, “Word is not the Creator, not the creation, that is why Christians say the Word is the Son of God. Then he told me, if there is a Son for God, I must show him the wife of God. Without wife, no chance of having a Son. Then I showed a portion from my religion book. The religion book says that God can see without eyes, God can talk without tongue, God can hear without ears. It is written in the religion book. I said if that is the case; He can have a child without a wife.
So there we had a big argument, and you know at the end what I did? I took my religion book, put it on my chest, and said, “ Almighty God, tell me what I should do, because my religion book says Jesus is still alive, and my prophet is no more, you tell me who should I accept”. After my prayer, I opened my religion book, I did not ask anyone, I asked only God. When I opened the religion book, I saw a verse. You know what it says? If you have any doubt in the religion book which I give to you, go and read the Bible, or ask the people, those who read the Bible. The truth is already revealing that.
So, if you ask me who made me Christian, it is not any Father. It is not any sister; it is not any bishop; it is not any cardinal; it is not even pope; but my religion book converted me to Christianity.
