“All scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” 2 Timothy 3:16.
The Holy Bible is the inspired word of God and final authority in all matters of faith, morals and decisions. It contains the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. The two major parts of the Bible are: the Old Testament (Law and Prophets) and the New Testament (New Covenant). The Law and Prophets are completed and fulfilled in the New Covenant by the mediation of Jesus Christ. God attested this on the Mount of Transfiguration (a place where Jesus’ face shone as the sun and his raiment as white as the light); as Moses (Law) and Elijah (Prophets Representative) appeared to Jesus in the presence of Peter, James and John. The three close followers of Jesus wanted to erect three tabernacles for Jesus, Moses and Elijah but God voiced out from bright cloud and said: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. No one can receive and interpret fully the Bible without having the three basic Christians’ experiences (salvation, sanctification and Holy Spirit baptism). “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” 1 Corinthians 2:14.
It is the will of God that all (men, women, boys, girls and children) receive, hear, study, meditate, internalize and live by the word of God. There are numerous benefits embedded in the Bible. To sinners and unbelievers; the word of God convicts of sins, warns, corrects, reproofs, stirs up faith for salvation and sanctifies the heart. To new believers in Christ; the word of God helps to grow into matured Christians full of wisdom, doctrinal faith, and righteousness and prevents against backsliding. The Bible instructs and reveals how to live righteously by loving God with the whole of the heart, soul and mind; and loving and living peacefully with all men.
God is not happy with sinners who make no effort in yielding to the basic instruction before leaving earth but continuously yielding to the works of flesh (Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, anger, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, and reveling, smoking, stealing, lying tattooing, idolatry adornments and corrupt practices). God is not happy with unbelievers (non Christians) who always turn down the word of God and consider it abomination to hold and read the Bible. God is not happy with backslidden Christians who are not fully living by the word of God. He is also not happy with so called teachers, pastors, evangelists, prophets and apostles who are deviating from the truth and making merchandise of the Bible. The sad news is that sinners, unbelievers and backslidden Christians who yield not to the reproof, correction and instructions from the word of God will go to hell after leaving earth.
The Good News is that God loves you. He gave Jesus as the message of good news to you. God wants you to seek first His kingdom and righteousness through His revealed word (Bible). He wants you to repent from sins, unbelief; and surrender your life to Jesus by coming to him through the way of the cross. It is the way of the cross that leads to Heaven. God wants you to have in-depth knowledge of His word and save your soul from going to hell. Jesus is waiting for you now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and gift of the Bible. Thank you for sending your beloved Son Jesus to instruct me in righteousness. Forgive me all my sins. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit, and grant me the daily grace to live and resist the tempter by your word in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
