''I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for everyone, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death'' Revelation 1:18.
They were two sons of the morning stars (Rev 22:16 and Isaiah 14:12). One was bright morning star and begotten of the Heavenly Father while one was not bright and disowned. The battle started when the son of the morning star thought of taking the position of bright morning star’s Father. He was cast out from heaven into the earth and became the enemy of humanity.
The son of the morning star came subtly and deceived the first woman on earth to eat of the forbidden fruit. She ate of the forbidden fruit and gave it to the first man. Sin entered the world; as man and woman were banished from the Garden of Eden. They were cursed by God to die; and humanity became captives in the hands of Satan who was now having the keys of hell and death.
Who will deliver humanity from the captivity of Satan? Jesus: The Bright Morning Star. '' No way'', Satan said .The battle began again as Satan sought to kill little baby Jesus when he was born. He entered into Herod and slew all the children in Bethlehem below two years of age (Mathew 2:16). Jesus was protected by his Heavenly Father. Satan was happy for thirty years because Jesus revealed not his true identity to the world. Another battle began when fully grown Jesus went into forty days- forty night’ prayer and fasting for spiritual fortification against Satan. He was tempted by Satan and he overcame him by the word of God.
''Now, the way out is to kill Jesus”, Satan planned. At the end of Jesus' three years ministry (preaching, teaching and healing), Jesus was arrested and crucified on the cross of Calvary. Satan thought he has won the battle but never knew he had made the greatest mistake of his life. Jesus died on Friday, went and continued the battle with Satan. He preached the gospel to the dead (1 Peter 3:19 and 1 Peter 4:6) and the bodies of the saint which slept arose (Mathew 27:50-53). Finally, he collected the keys of hell and death from Satan. His body could not remain in the grave. Hallelujah!!! Jesus arose and now seated on the right hand side of the Heavenly Father, waiting to receive born again children into heaven.
Warning from Jesus to all on his way to crucifixion: But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me , but weep for yourselves, and for your children (Luke 23:28). It is a pity, many will:
(a) still go back to their vomit (old way of life: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, anger, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, and reveling, smoking, stealing, lying tattooing, idolatry adornments and corrupt practices) after salvation. (b) refuse to live a consecrated life unto Jesus. (c) live a double standard life - worldliness(putting on sexy wears, attires of harlot, sensual adornments and make up, corrupt speeches, listening to worldly music, watching worldly videos and indulging in evil practices) (d) leave the sheep fold due of the trials of faith or worldly enticement. (e) remain in their religion and idolatrous practices and not believe that Jesus is the messiah
Jesus has done his part, won the victory against death and hell for humanity. It is now left for all to decide either to lay hold unto eternal life by following the path of life and holiness or continue the path of sin that leads death and hell.
Prayer: Heavenly Father; thank you for the victory won by Jesus for me and the free gift of salvation. Forgive me all my sins. Save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit and grant me the daily grace to follow the path of holiness which leads to life in Jesus’ Name. Amen MORE GRACE TO CONTINUE IN NEW LIFE
