“He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” Daniel 3:25.
We live in a generation where evil practice is the order of the day; a generation worse than both the generation of Noah and generation of Sodom and Gomorrah, where the children of light constantly experience temptations and enticements from the children of darkness. Can Jesus deliver? Yes! Jesus who delivered Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from burning fire can also deliver the world from sin and its punishment. “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire” Daniel 3:17 & 26
It is the will of God that all (men, women, boys, girls and children) are saved. This is the reason why God is still reaching the world with the message of salvation through obedient followers of Christ. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in strange and corrupt land of Babylon under the ungodly king Nebucadnezzar, could be likened to faithful and obedient followers of Christ in this polluted generation. The three friends stood their ground and defended their faith in God. They refused to be fascinated by the Babylonian music and worldly system. They also stood their ground not bowing down to the golden image at the command of king. Because of their faith in God, God delivered them and brought the king and the nations of the world to recognize God of Heaven and earth.
God is not happy that this present generation is wallowing in worldliness and immoralities despite the message of salvation going forth daily from the mouth of faithful and obedient servant of Christ. God is not happy with people using their exalted position to promoting evil and immoralities. He is happy that many are committing sin in public and private. He is not happy with backslidden Christians dancing to the tune of the world and bringing worldliness into the church. The sad news is that those are joining multitude to do evil and going to eternal fire. The Good news is that there is God with us (Jesus) who is able to deliver you from sin and. He is mighty to deliver you from earthly and eternal fire. He wants you to come out of evil practices, idol worship and worldliness. Jesus wants you to surrender your life totally unto him. He is waiting for you now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding me of your love. I know you don’t want my soul to perish in hell fire. Please, have mercy upon me and erase all my sins. Wash me in the blood of the lamb Jesus, save me, sanctify me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit, and deliver me from all evil works of darkness in Jesus’ Name. Amen
Words of Encouragement to Christians
God is mighty to deliver His children from persecution and from enticements by the children of darkness. Earnest contend for the faith; continue shinning for Jesus, and soon the world will acknowledge the light of Christ in You.
