TRACT 6:        PREPARING FOR HELL?

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and the murderers, and whoremongers, and the sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” Revelation 21:8.

                Everything that has a beginning surely has an ending. We came into this world with nothing and we will leave with nothing. Those living in sins are preparing for Hell while those living the life of Christ are preparing for Heaven. A story of a rich man and poor Lazarus was told by Jesus Christ. The rich man had many good things of life, well fed but lived in sin. Lazarus the beggar on the other hand, lacked good things of life but did not live in sin. “ And it came to pass that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried: And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame” Luke 16: 22-24.

                God does not want anyone to follow the wide way of destruction that leads to hell. Hell fire is a place of torment where sinners go to be punished after death. It is a place one would never wish his enemy to go. Those that are following the high way of hell are the: fearful – they fear they may be persecuted, loose friends and family, and good things of life, if they surrender their lives to Christ; unbelieving – those who do not believe Jesus is the Messiah; abominable – who do evil and shameful practices; murderers – those that kill other people; whoremongers – those who practice sexual immoralities:  sorcerers – those who use diabolic powers; idolaters – those who do not worship God through Christ but worship idols; and liars – those who tell lies. Man is a tripartite being, made up of body, soul and spirit. When a person dies, the spirit immediately returns to God, the body is left lifeless on earth to decay, while the soul journeys to Heaven or Hell. What shall it profit a man, if he gains the world, acquires wealth, wives, certificates, fame and loses his soul in hell?

                God is not happy that sinners will go to hell. In hell, there is no mercy.  Souls cry and pray but no answer to their prayers; souls thirst for water but no water; souls yearn for food but no food. Souls that wore seductive clothes while on earth are completely naked in Hell. Souls that loved worldly music and dances while on earth dance for Satan and demons. Souls that practiced sexual immoralities while on earth are tormented by demons in Hell, and souls that refused to obey Jesus on earth have no choice than to obey Satan in hell. The sad news is that Satan is a deceiver, deceiving many everyday into high way of hell.

                The Good news is that God does not want you to perish in hell but have everlasting life in Heaven. He gave Jesus to save you and to show you the way to Heaven. God want you to humble yourself and turn away from the wide way of destruction. Do not hesitate to surrender your life to Jesus today as tomorrow might be too late.

                Prayer:  Heavenly father, thank you for your word. Thank you for sending Jesus to save me from the path of destruction. Have mercy on me; save me, sanctify me, pour your Holy Spirit on me and help me to live daily with heaven in view, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
