TRACT 142: DO YOU LOVE GOD? "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also" 1John 4:20-21. A story was narrated by a teacher to his primary school pupils on how three ladies were told by their pastor that Jesus would be their guest in their places of abode on a certain day. Indeed, the three ladies prepared, sanitized, decorated their apartments and prepared delicious meal on the expectant day. It happened that the person who locked at the door of the first lady was a lamed man with tattered cloth begging for food. The lady was irritated, picked offense at the plea of the lame man and told him to leave because she was expecting an important visitor. The second lady treated the lame man upon his arrival in like manner as the first lady and pursued him with stick. The thir...

TRACT 141: YOUR RELIGION OR NEIGHBOUR? "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him" Luke 10:33-34. A preacher once said, "..don't tell me what you believe but show me how you treat other people and I will tell you what you believe!". Jesus never commanded us to love our religion more than our neigbours but to love God (serve God in righteousness), and love our neighbours. When my religion tries to come between me and my neighbour, I will choose my neighbour first (Anonymous) . The parable told by Jesus of a good Samaritan man was an illustration on how every true worshipper of God should relate with neighbours and strangers regardless of religion, denomination affiliation, tribe or nationality. A man was attacked by robbers on his way from Jerusa...

TRACT 140: A FRUITFUL CHRISTIAN? "Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit" John 15:2 . Show me a person having the three spiritual experiences (salvation, sanctification and Holy Spirit Baptism) and bearing the nine fruit of the spirit daily; and I will tell you the person is a Christian. The fruit of the Spirit are attributes of a holiness lifestyle which the Holy Spirit develops in a Christian " But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law" Galatians 5:22-23. LOVE : Loves his neighbour as he loves himself; and loves God with the whole of his body, soul and spirit. JOY : Rejoices in hope of Eternal Life more than pleasures and challenges of life. Peace : Always at peace with all men. Longsuffering: Slow to anger and patience with people. Gentlen...

TRACT 138: HAPPY OR SAD? "And the angel said unto them, fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord" Luke 2:10-11 . Whether true or not of December 25th as Christ's birthday; the fact remains that Christ was born into the world by Mary. His birthday was witnessed by his foster father (Joseph); announced by angels to the shepherd who kept watch over their flock by night, and multitude of heavenly hosts celebrated his birth that glorious night. Just as the birth of Christ caused happiness among heavenly hosts including many on earth; it caused sadness in the kingdom of darkness and many on earth. Satan sought to kill and destroy Christ through human agents. He was hated by religion leaders and their followers; just because he taught holiness, set the captives free and preached the kingdom of heaven. Are you happy that Jes...

TRACT 137: IT IS NOT OVER Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God" John 11:40. Who would have ever believed that Jesus could bring back to life presumed stinky and dead Lazarus entombed for four days. To Martha, everything about Lazarus was over but Jesus proved her wrong and raised him up from dead. It is not over for every negative circumstance of life to be turn around by Christ. It is not over until God says it is over. For with God, all things are possible. Jesus healed a sick woman having twelve years (12) issue of blood . It is not over for any prolonged sickness to be cured (Matthew 9:20-22). Jesus gave sights to the blinds and made many handicapped whole. It is not over for any paralyzed or handicapped love ones to be made whole (John 9). Jesus miraculously multiplied five (5) loaves of bread and two (2) fishes for five thousand (5000) men beside women and children. It is not too lat...

TRACT 136: PLUS ONE & MINUS ONE "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom" Psalm 90:12. Another birthday is another opportunity given by God to every living soul to show forth His praises; and to have sober reflection on the shortness of life. Witnessing another birthday is not an entitlement but a privilege from God. It is another chapter in one's life on earth and opportunity to begin one's chapter of life on a good note. Plus one is another year on earth and a starting day (birthday) to include the following as one celebrates. Rising up early to worship God in prayers and spiritual songs. Rededicating one's life to God in holiness. Reading and reflecting on the word of God. Reaching out to the less privilege in kindness and sinners in the word of God. Rendering selfless service to God and humanity. The sober reflection is that for every plus one year on earth is minus one year from the actual ...
