TRACT 141: YOUR RELIGION OR NEIGHBOUR? "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him" Luke 10:33-34. A preacher once said, "..don't tell me what you believe but show me how you treat other people and I will tell you what you believe!". Jesus never commanded us to love our religion more than our neigbours but to love God (serve God in righteousness), and love our neighbours. When my religion tries to come between me and my neighbour, I will choose my neighbour first (Anonymous) . The parable told by Jesus of a good Samaritan man was an illustration on how every true worshipper of God should relate with neighbours and strangers regardless of religion, denomination affiliation, tribe or nationality.
