TRACT 136: PLUS ONE & MINUS ONE

"So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom" Psalm 90:12.

Another birthday is another opportunity given by God to every living soul to show forth His praises; and to have sober reflection on the shortness of life. Witnessing another birthday is not an entitlement but a privilege from God. It is another chapter in one's life on earth and opportunity to begin one's chapter of life on a good note. Plus one is another year on earth and a starting day (birthday) to include the following as one celebrates.

Rising up early to worship God in prayers and spiritual songs.

Rededicating one's life to God in holiness.

Reading and reflecting on the word of God.

Reaching out to the less privilege in kindness and sinners in the word of God.

Rendering selfless service to God and humanity.

The sober reflection is that for every plus one year on earth is minus one year from the actual years one would spend on earth. Eternity is waiting for every soul either in heaven or in hell. Heaven is an eternal place prepared for every soul whose Lord is Jesus and every soul living holily on earth. Hell is an eternity in fire reserved for devil, his demons and sinners. where will you spend eternity after your journey on earth?

Dear reader, kindly take a deep thought on where you might likely spend your eternity after your pilgrim journey on earth.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of life and another privilege given me to have a sober reflection on where I will spend eternity. Search me Lord and see if there is any wicked way in me. I am ready Jesus to make you the us Lord of my life and continue in newness of life. Save me, sanctify me and grant me the grace to live holily every day of my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
